Solid Slat Bases
Our bases are constructed using kiln dried top quality NZ pine, as we manufacture these in our factory we use more timber than most on the market balancing comfort, practicality and strength. All our bases are upholstered in either a fabric to match your mattress or we carry a range of upholstery fabrics in different colours, textures and designs. Majority of beds sold today use the solid slat base system as this complements the comfort of the mattress by giving firm support and eliminating roll together. Our bases come in two standard depths and can be fitted with a number of leg height options and either glides or castors. All our bases are fitted with headboard attachments which will fit all standard headboards. We manufacture our bases in all standard sizes but will also custom make a base to your requirements.

Inner Sprung Bases
For our customers requiring a softer sleep surface we make sprung bases, we make these bases by adding either a standard height spring system or a low profile spring system to the top of a solid slat base, the deeper spring gives a softer surface, the low profile, a firmer surface. Years ago all beds came with inner sprung bases, this was because mattress had very little in the way of comfort layers; now mattresses have much more to them and so usually do not need to be soften up by having an inner sprung base. Another reason for the switch to solid slat is that when you have springs in both base and mattress the two spring systems tend to rebound off each other making it impossible to eliminate partner disturbance

Storage Divan
Our storage Divans are constructed using kiln dried NZ pine, they are designed to be both practical and fashionable. The construction allows air flow without compromising on strength. This elegant simplistic design allows the draws to be flush mounted to give clean lines. The drawers are made of Melamine and are 600mm square giving heaps of extra storage space and using top quality smooth running glides. We have an excellent range of upholstery fabrics to complement you decor, so no need for a valance. The drawer divan carries our 10 year guarantee.
